Description: Travel Day 8 in Sunny Mexico
Our day started out like usual, waking up to the sunlight and being lazily getting out of bed. We lathered up in sunscreen and headed to find our spot at the pool.
Today was HOT, the air was hot, the ground was hot and the water was hot.... We had do do something... Something a little different than laying by the pool. After a long...very long discussion we decided that para sailing was the thing to do. I honestly didn't think that we were going to do it but Nicole came back from the travel desk ready to go and had already paid for it. Of corse we had our doubts but everyone who did it seemed to really enjoy the experience.
Once at the "sign in tent" on the beach we were forced to sign our lives away before getting fitted with a lifejacket. Now let me ask you, how is a life jacket going to help me when I fall 100 feet into the water? I guess my dad would say it makes it easier to recover the body....
Now we are fitted with our trusty life jackets we hop or slide into the water taxi that swoops us away to our new journey... Little did I know that this would be the most dangerous part. Unfortunately I don't have pictures of the next event... As we approach the boat, the parasail is bringing its customers down to the landing platform. It doesn't seem like a complicated process, some how after the 2 people get off the parasail it blows into our boat. Durning this "oh shit moment" I push Nicole to the floor of the boat but I get trapped in the lines pulling be to the back of the boat and onto the floor... In retrospect it was all pretty funny!
To wrap up this LONG "story" we had a great time and are both alive!
