Servers That Deserve A Raise For Being Hilarious

Being a server can prove to be one of the most stressful jobs around. Not only do you have to multi-task, be on your feet all day, and work long hours, but you have to deal with people. Some servers can become jaded by constantly being hassled or annoyed with their job, but that's not all of them. Some people in the food and beverage industry keep a sense of humor, making the most out of their job while simultaneously making the customer's experience enjoyable. Here are some of those people.

Can I Have Extra Lemon?

Usually, when someone asks for a glass of water with extra lemon, the server might provide the customer with one or two extra pieces of lemon on the side. However, that's not how this server rolls.

When someone asked them to bring them extra lemon with their water, they decided to bring them what looks like an entire sliced lemon. We're not sure if they were trying to be funny or were fed up with the customer, it's hilarious either way. Good thing they have a straw!

Extra Blankets Are Important... Or A Table Cloth Will Do

It's no surprise when elderly women get cold in restaurants. Managers keep their restaurants cool because people would rather eat while a little chilly than burning up. It appears this elderly woman was a little too cold and asked if they had something she could wrap herself in.

Looks like they didn't have any extra blankets on hand, so the server provided her with an extra table cloth. While she doesn't appear to mind, it might be a wake-up call to get some extra blankets for the restaurant.

Sometimes, You Have To Laugh At Yourself

In a funny twist of events, this restaurant decided to take someone's negative Yelp review and use it as part of their uniform. This is clever considering that most establishments shy away from negative reviews, while this one wears it proud and clear.

It shows that they have confidence in their food and service and are willing to prove it to people rather than be judged on a website. Now, the customers at this establishment will see this shirt and get a kick out of it, knowing that Danica F. was wrong.

"I Owe You One"

When this server was delivering people their food, they accidentally dropped one of the customer's french fries on the floor. While most people wouldn't think twice about one fry, they stated: "whoops, I owe you one."

While the customer assumed this was a figure of speech, they were far from the truth. The server returned with exactly one french fry on a fresh plate. While this might be a fun little way to earn a nice tip, we're sure the dishwasher wasn't pleased by it.

Looks like this server got themselves into a bit of trouble. They must have forgotten about one of their tables entirely if customers waited 30 minutes with no service. Not only that, but they had the time to create this work of art.

Surely, one of the employees had to have seen them spreading ketchup and mustard everywhere. Not only did this server fail to do their job, but now they have to take the time to clean this mess up.

Apparently, when you're at The Cheesecake Factory, you have to be very clear what you want when ordering. This customer ordered a "bit of coke," which turned out to be a mistake. As it turns out, what a bit of coke meant to their server was some Coca Cola served in a container used for ketchup on-the-go.

What they should have said was a "glass of coke," but even then, we're not sure how that might have turned out. We wonder what everyone else got when they ordered.

Some People Just Don't Get It

You know this restaurant must have a serious problem with people interrupting their servers if they literally have to make a shirt about it. Most people might get the hint when reading this shirt, but then again, probably not.

Now, on the front, they need it to say "can you read?" for when they turn around to talk to an annoying customer. Hopefully, people read the shirt and let the server do their job. Wouldn't that be nice?

When you're at a bar, some people can get a little loose-lipped and spill some secrets, or even ruin some shows! When the epic show Game of Thrones was on the air, spoilers were a fan's worst enemy.

There is nothing worse than spending so much time and energy on a television show only for someone to ruin it all for you. This bartender clearly wasn't caught up and took precautions to make sure that nothing was ruined for them. For spoiling that show, the punishment should be more than getting cut off.

If someone really cares that their name is spelled correctly on a coffee cup, they definitely deserved to be messed with. This guy made sure that the barista knew that his name was spelled with a "y," so they made sure that Bryan knew that they heard him.

Now, Bryan has to walk around in shame so people can see that he was being high maintenance at the coffee shop. We wonder if his name is spelled with an "i" is a serious problem in his life.

Although some people might say that it's begging for money, people are more likely to tip a server if they know that they're going through hard times. Clearly, this waitress is, considering that she can't even afford a new pair of shoes.

She probably prays that her customers take a look at her shoes to see the situation that she's in. It's possible that she doesn't even need new shoes but we commend her on her effort. We'd still throw her a few extra dollars, would you?

Have To Be More Specific!

If someone usually asks for a small beer at the bar, they probably usually mean the average 12-ounce beer, not the kind that is bigger than your head. However, when this person ordered a small cold one, that's exactly what they got.

Most people might call that a taster, but it seems that's the only small beer that they have. The sad part is, they probably still got charged for this and might as well have put that money toward a regular size beverage.

When this customer ordered a hamburger at a restaurant, they specifically asked for no pickles. Although this isn't an unusual request, to make it clear they didn't want pickles, they threatened to destroy a city for every pickle they found on their burger.

Their server took advantage of this and brought back a plate of three pickles with a list of the three cities they should destroy. They surely have some enemies in those cities!

It looks like this coffee shop employee had the hots for one of their customers, so they decided to make their attraction known. While most people might have just written something on the cup, they decided to take the more subtle route, in hopes they would notice what they did.

Although we don't know too many people who read the bottom of their coffee cups, maybe they did this by chance. Now, whenever they go to get coffee, they'll keep their eyes open for someone taking particular interest in them.

A Receipt With A Flare

Although some servers may just hand you back a plain receipt, that's certainly not the case with this employee. Not only did they add "thank you" to each receipt, but customized each one with a character from pop culture.

This is sure to brighten any customer's day and may feel special enough that they even keep it. For most people, this would be enough to come back to the restaurant just to see which character they would get next time.

A True Dad Joke

When someone's dad asked for the check at a restaurant he asked for "one very small check," a clear mistake. So, when the waitress returned, that's exactly what she handed him, a very small check. Clear and straight to the point, this waitress just out-dad-joked an actual father.

Now, he has to take off his white New Balances and Old Navy t-shirt and retire them to the closet. He's no longer deserving of the ultimate dad attire. However, the waitress might want to have thought about where he could write in a tip.

When this waitress announced that she would be taking her talents elsewhere, her co-workers weren't going to let her leave without documenting the moment. So, the restaurant staff got together and re-created Leonardo da Vinci's "The Last Supper" painting.

We hope that they hung this somewhere in the restaurant even though some people might claim that it's sacrilegious. However, we couldn't imagine a better way to pose for a picture. They did an impressive job too!

They better hope that nobody spat in their food or did anything else because it's highly possible that happened. We wonder what these customers did that almost drove their server to commit murder. Surely, you can only do so much at Red Lobster.

This server wanted to remind their customers what an awesome server they are, and how their night was so great thanks to them. While this may be a bold statement, it isn't necessarily out of line if the server knows that they did a good job.

In that case, it's just funny, and a note like this would most likely lead to a higher tip. Very few people have this level of confidence so it's refreshing to see every now and then.

When this man went to a restaurant with some friends, he decided that he wasn't hungry or thirsty, so he asked the waiter for "nothing." While most people might expect to then receive nothing, instead, he was given an empty glass.

At the of the meal, the server also gave him a blank check to pay for the nothing that he had ordered. We sincerely hope that the customer drew or wrote something clever on the empty paper. The server at least deserves that for their efforts.

Serving people and making sandwiches all day is hard work. You're constantly interacting with people, restocking supplies, making sandwiches, and ringing up customers. If the shop is empty and you've finished all of your tasks, taking a nap doesn't sound like a terrible idea.

So customers don't that he's dead, he was kind enough to leave a note explaining the situation. He just better hope that his boss doesn't walk in, or else he might have to change professions and start flipping pizzas.
