Close Your Eyes
The year is 1996 and you are six years old watching Titanic on HBO with your parents. You’re bewildered by the majesty of the ship and your heart is breaking for Rose, who can’t possibly fall in love with a man as poor as Jack without some serious side-eye from her family. Then, it gets to that scene – that infamous scene where Jack paints Rose like one of his French girls. As soon as your mom see’s Rose lying out on the couch, her wing goes up and covers your face. But you’ve already seen it. You’ve already seen everything.
