comments = This is one of the most inane pages I've ever seen on the Web. To site one example, your posting of this verse: Genesis 22:9&10 "And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood. And Abraham stretched forth his hand, and took the knife to slay his son." ..under the heading of Child Abuse??? Give me a break! If you or your colleagues had any sense to read the entire book of Genesis (or at least that one chapter) you would realize that Abraham did not slay his son. God sent down an angel who stopped him from making the sacrifice. And if you were to understand the word "faith" you would see that Abraham loved God so much that he planned to obey His wishes. God wanted to see if Abraham would obey, and he did. God's request was symbolic of the upcoming sacrifice of His own son, Jesus Christ-- This is the sacrifice that actually happened!

So I would appreciate it (as would other Christians) if you would read your Bible cover to cover and make an educated attempt to understand what God is trying to tell us. This page has taken verses and presented them in a completely inappropriate manner; they are taken out of context, and are being mocked.

I apologize for my rage, but as a Christian I am very upset that something like this is being presented to the public. Please re-think your stands and remove this page. Present God in the manner in which He deserves.

comments = The "Holy" Bible has done more to cause wars, death and pestilence throughout the last several thousand years than the horrors of Nazi Germany. The Bible is contradictory and a blueprint for values that dishonor the human self, subordinate the rational mind to the irrational, and creates a value system which is the antithesis of freedom and free capitalism.

Of all counties in the past 2,000 years, the one that came closest to the political tenets of Christianity was the former Soviet Union -- except that they raised the State to the ultimate slavemaster instead of God.

Maybe the Bible is a sneaky intelligence test. Those who think will reject much of it as ethically bankrupt and philosophical irrationality; these will be rewarded to "heaven". Those who accept it blindly have failed to use the mind the Creator gave them and will be condemned to eternal roasting in the deepest pit of "hell".

The graphic violence & images presented in the Bible are totally different & of different substance than what is available in request TV & the internet. The Bible walks into these areas with some accord & caution & understanding wereas TV & the internet & the media presents it without any prelude or introduction - therefor the child is shocked (somewhat) & left wondering & questioning what he or she just saw.
