1. Is this a joke?
No.

2. Don't you have anything better to do with your time?
No, not really.

3. What happened to you to make you hate God so much?
We don't hate God.

4. Do you think all Christians are bad or just some? I don't do the things you mention.
First, we don't think Christians are bad or good. And we belive in everyone's right to hold whatever beliefs they wish, as long as they do not impose their beliefs on others.

Many people have written to exclude themselves from the groups we critique then continue telling us about the gay friends they have that, through the grace of God, no longer practice the homosexual lifestyle, etc. Sorry, this does not wash.

Christ said not to judge, to love one another. (He did NOT say anything about love the sinner, hate the sin - that is blasphemy.)

5. You speak out against intolerance and yet you are intolerant of the people you are criticizing. You say not to judge and yet you are judging others.
This is an interesting argument and if I was better at arguing I could make a better defense.

Let's take extremes. Hitler was intolerant of certain groups. If I spoke out against what Hitler was doing would I be considered intolerant against Hitler and his followers? Am I the same as he because I speak out against him?

The question presumes that intolerance is wrong. Does this mean that there is no valid way to criticize or fight against intolerance? Would allowing Hitler to complete his plans be an expression of tolerance or intolerance?

Let me point out the differences between the groups we criticize and ourselves. Groups such as the Christian Coalition, Family Research Council and Focus on the Family practise particular belief lifestyles. We have no problem with this. However, they spend a great deal of time, effort and money imposing their beliefs on others, through the legal systems of the USA and other international organizations at the expense of the beliefs of others.

PostFun supports anyone's right to believe anything they want as long as they do not impose it on others. We do not seek to make laws to prevent Christians from going to church or marrying each other. We do not try to limit their rights to employment, housing, health and reproductive services or due process. We do critique and resist their efforts to enact laws that deny civil rights to American citizens.

PostFun does seeks to show that there is no Biblical basis to the tactics they employ. We also poke fun at the inconsistencies of their tactics, not their beliefs. Humor makes serious issues easier to explore.

6. Are you a Christian or an atheist? You don't make it clear. Are you saved?
We are heretics. Some of us are agnostics, atheists and possibly antinomians. Some consider themselves Christians. We are all apostates.

7. If you wanted to be a professional golfer you'd emulate the BEST players, not the worst. Why judge all of Christianity based on the worst representations of it?
Christianity is more like professional wrestling than golf. No true wrestler would add the term "professional" to his title. True wrestlers do all they can to distance themselves from the shenanigans and showboating of professional wrestling. It is a farce in which they take no part.

Likewise, any true follower of Jesus does all they can to rescue his name from the hateful, greed-based, politically motivated muck and mire of the "church" today.

8. You take the Bible out of context.
So does anyone who has ever quoted a verse. It's all cut and paste.

9. You are preventing people from becoming Christians.
Au contraire. More than 20 people have written to tell us of their decision to come to Christ through these pages. We have several areas where readers can learn how to accept Christ as their personal savior.

10.You're pro-choice. What if your mother had decided to have you aborted?
I wouldn't be here. Maybe it's a sign from God.

11. Are you a member of the liberal, culturally elite newsmedia?
If you mean liberal in the sense of free, then yes we are liberal, we believe in freedom.

Regarding the term "cultural elite", the hierarchy of the Christian church is the true "cultural elite." The word "elite" comes from "elect" referring to the church hierarchy. "Elite" assumes a hierarchy, on which church dogma is constructed. For instance, Christ is the head of man, man is the head of woman, man and woman the head of children, etc. The church has historically decided whether certain humans had souls, such as slaves, people of color, women and children. This arrogance is mirrored today when the Christian church decides who are legitimate citizens and who shall partake of civil rights. Currently the cultural elite of the church is attempting to deny civil rights to women, children, gays, the sick and elderly. There is a full-fledged attempt by the cultural elite of the church to limit art, music, literature, and education to the American public.

12. You're going to burn in hell.
How convenient to have something as horrible as hell with which to threaten those who disagree with you. Anyway, it's not your call.

We are dubious of the benefits of a brand of Christianity that relies on fear and threats to promote it. If Christianity is so wonderful why is it not promoted based on the good things it promises?

Usually when one threatens bodily harm or death unless an action is taken it is called assault, duress, blackmail, or extortion. Is this the love of God?

13 You didn't respond to my e-mail.
We actually try to respond to e-mail if there is an address included. There are a few exceptions:

1. Occassionally there is a failure in the system and we do not receive the e-mail or it is accidentally misfiled, lost or returned to us as undeliverable. Try again.

2. Information you requested exists in the body of work you are referring to or another place linked on the page. For instance, most questions about the purpose of the NC-17 Bible can be answered by reading the attached autobiography of the author. We will not reply to e-mail in a case such as this as it is incumbant on a critic to familiarize themselves with the work they critique.<

3. We have addressed the issue in the FAQ or the tenets.

4. The request is insulting, unintelligible, or a dogmatic tirade.

14. You didn't send me the research information I requested.
We barely have time to put together the research for the content that we post. Regrettably, we do not have the resources to do research for our audience. A more thorough and accurate source of information is the public library. For your convenience we include a partial bibliography of the sources we have used in putting together this site.
