THE WORK
Throughout history the Christian orthodoxy has struggled against independent thinkers (heretics) over the meaning and purpose of the life of Jesus. What we believe is expressed in our tenets.

Many orthodox believers (the religious right) accuse us of blasphemy, intolerance and disrespect. This web site and all it contains was assembled with the greatest care, thought and love. We support everyone's right to believe as they wish as long as they do not impose their beliefs on others.

THE WEB SITE
The Journal of Adult Christianity was originally issued monthly, but since 1999 has been issued quarterly. Most new material can be found at our our new URLs - AdultChristianity.com, AdultChristianity.org, and Jesus21.com. Our original material is archived at the PostFundamentalist Press site - www.postfun.com/pfp.

HISTORY
PostFundamentalism began as a multimedia project in the fine arts department of San Francisco State University in 1990. Realizing that traditional Biblical literalists had adopted a newfound militantism Poppy Dixon began analyzing fundamentalism through the filter of postmodern critical theory.

The project began printing tracts early in 1995 and donated many of these to the Feminist Majority Foundation to use in their confrontations with Operation Rescue. The web site has been operational since September 1995 and has had as many as 60,000 visitors a month. We maintain a list of all press listings and news releases for those interested.
