Dear Reader,

Happy New Year, everyone! Hope you're not TOO hung over. This month's issue of Adult Christianity concerns driving under the influence, of Jesus not liquor! We've featured Christian bikers, truckers, cowboys, busing disasters, the Titanic and much more.

Many of you have written to share your stories with us and this month we've posted the testimony of a tattoo artist in Detroit. It's a fascinating story and includes beautiful examples of his work.

Ron Hogan reviews the book Stealing Jesus, How Fundamentalism Betrays Christianity, by Bruce Bawer. Kevin Lambert's series, "Scandals in Eden" draws to a close with A Romp through Gospelgate. And the Week in Fashion Prophecy takes a look at crossdressing.

Over the month of December we made lots of changes and updates. We've posted both Spanish and Italian versions of the XXX-rated Bible. We've made a new home page for The Week in Fasion Prophecy, see if you can guess who our mystery Christian is. We've gathered all our queer resources onto a new page, Queer for Jesus. And you can nominate your favorite web sites at our new Awards Page.

Thanks to everyone that filled out our reader's survey. Check the results and participate in this month's questionaire.

In December I was interviewed by Joe Chidley of MacLean's magazine in Canada. I haven't recieved a review copy yet, but you can get a sense of what he wrote from the hate mail. It's 2:1 against from north of the border, eh!

Sister Aimee I have to recommend Daniel Mark Epstein's Sister Aimee. It's a rich and tumultuous epic journey similar to that of "Autobiography of a Yogi" or "Malcolm X." Mrs. McPherson was a social and religious phenomena who shaped both modern celebrity and evangelism. If you've ever doubted the contributions of women, this book will set you straight.

Please make one more New Year's resolution. Promise to write Miss Poppy, as I do so enjoy hearing from you.

Join With love,

Poppy
