Many of you have written asking that we post reader responses, both positive and negative. I usually toss the negative mail so most of these are from the Abortion is Not a Sin web page. I'll start saving the general negative responses to post here. Do check out the letters from friends as well.

I've omitted personal information in most cases and edited for brevity, believe me, negativity just goes on and on.

DECEMBER 1997

I sent a response to your "Abortion Is Not a Sin" editorial less than a week ago, and would like to know why it wasn't included in the list of responses you claimed were published no matter what they expressed. Why is it that my response was not listed when responses dating back to October were included?

In respose to your xxx-bible I must say that I have never seen misrepresentation to this degree, it is utterly unprofessional and actually shows your true level of maturity and incompetency. I am only 19 and even I can see how demented you are. On your point about homosexuality YOUR personal opinions have hindered your ability to discern what the scriptures mean. You have taken all of your reference verses out of context to make your invalid point even more invalid. I will only use verses in their correct context for I do not wish to stoop as low as you. Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral...nor male prostitutes nor homosexuals...will inherit the kingdom of God.!!!!!!!!( 1 Corinthians 6:9-10) I find it rather enlightening that the Bible speaks so harshly on this issue but still gives these people the true and only alternative JESUS CHRIST the redeemer. If you had actually bothered to read the verses before and after the ones you used, you would see that you were in grave error.

Now I must draw this talk to a close and as a parting gift I give to you 1 Corinthians 5:9 "I have written you in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral people-..." and this is why we shall never speak again ( I'm not the immoral one).

P.S. This is for you Poppy Dixon. In the Dec. 15 MacLeans issue you are quoted "At least, that is what I am hoping.". I have only one verse for you "For I am tha LORD, I do not change." Malachi 3:6.

The baby/fetus wasn't to blame for having sex, you give into these actions! So the baby shouldn't go through pain (the abortion process) just because you thought you needed a few moments of pleasure!!!!!!!
