Many of you have written asking that we post reader responses, both positive and negative. So each month we'll post letters from friends (and letters from faux.) We will omit personal information from the postings in most cases.

Thank you for these biblical explanations. I do beleive that abortion is not a sin, I just wish all the anti-abortion people would visit this site. They might learn something. How is it a sin to have an ''abortion'' but its not a sin to bomb clinics were these fetuses are at. come on antis make sense

I am sorry to say this but this page is the funniest I have ever read! The joke pages I read now and then are nothing compared to your wizardry! It is so funny the way that you make light of people with too much time on their hands, and a messed up sense of what the bible is talking about. Those people are assuming they know their heads from their asses. Thank you for the blessing of laughter. Oh, you've done it again, you.

thank you thank you thank you from the bottom of my heart thank you God bless you and keep you all the days of your life.

Hello, really enjoyed your site, as a survivor of Catholicism and an in-law to christian fundamentalists, I "tip my hat"

You people are grossly demented, and are horrifically liberal in your views, and approach. I like you more and more as I read this site. I think it was a heavenly gift that I ran across you people. You are a wonderful outlet, and a soon to be frequent web-stop.

Love y'all, and keep up the good work.

I THINK THAT ALL YOUR INFO WAS VERY USEFUL FOR MY PAPER AND THANK YOU FOR ALLOWING ME TO USE IT.

I like the site. Keep up the good work.

I came across your site by chance through the use of search engine. I was looking for sites on religious humour. I am writing to say that your site is brilliant and I want to encourage you to keep up the good work. Talking of work, I am a Reform Rabbi working in London, but I teach interfaith Jewish-Christrian dialogue, mainly in Germany. I am sure my partners in this process who as you might expect are quite liberal, would enjoy your material and I am going to pass on your site details. If I have one regret, it is that I have not come across a similar site for the Jewish world, which unfortunately has the same kind of nonsence that you have so clearly identified in the Christian world. Once again well done and I look forward to reading the new editions.

I love your website!

Keep it up!!!

Don't be afraid to add even more

I think the only vile writing on your webpage is found in the "letters from faux" section. I hope the hateful things that are said there don't negatively effect you, but I find it admirable that you put those messages up as a reminder to your readers that those views still exist.

Me and my tribe really intensely enjoyed the article "What Do Would Jesus". The article ended with the delicious possibility of t-shirts being made. After attending "Gay Day" at Six Flags Over Texas here in Dallas and seeing seething swarms of church groups wearing t-shirts asking "What Would Jesus Do", we ached to be somehow wearing the Adult Christianity What Do Would Jesus page.

Please please PLEASE let me know if you ever make and sell these t-shirts!

your idea is great

To One and All,

My compliments -- this is, without a doubt, the best thing on the internet I've seen. I love every word of it. You all are simply too clever!!

My regards to Mrs. Betty Bowers,
MotherMary

I dunno, for me, sounds of Hell would be more like having to listen to Mariah Carey.....:p
Love the newsletter!

Thank you for putting this on the internt I've always felt that abortion was ok with God. He knows that we are not perfect and our bodies do things without our permission so I don't understand the religious crazies that want people to believe that it's wrong and it's killing that's the crazy part. Thankyou Poppy Dixon for being honest and giving the people a chance to read this and understant that God loves us knowmatter what he only wants the best for us and today in these times life is very trying. I see so many young women come thru our doors who try not to get pregnant but it happens any way. I commend you I'll never protest abortion it has to be the woman's choice it's her life.

Maybe someday we will learn to let people make their own decisions and accept them whether we agree or not

I believe that if you are a responsible person that you will make a responsible choice regarding the life of your unborn child. It is the mother's right to terminate a pregnancy--no one else should have a say in that affair.

I blundered into your site as a result of an Alta Vista search to see whatever happened to Billy James Hargis... I ain't got time to do it now, but tomorrow I'm gonna wallow in the glory of one of the funniest set of pages I've ever seen. I was raised Pentecostal and do appreciate what you're doing.

I am a Christian, and I have to say that I am undecided on the issue of abortion. I am on a journey through much thought and prayer, and your information has helped me see the "other side" of the argument. I read all of the comments, and I am extremely embarrassed of the "Christians" who responded with condemnation and vehemence. I hope that we as a Christian community can learn to respond with open-mindedness and love to other opinions as a celebration of human diversity.

I am a lesbian Christian woman and I wanted to let you know that I LOVE your site. I think that the Religous wrong (er.. I mean Right) is just begging to be made fun of and I wish that there were more sites that did exactly that.

Very interesting view point. I'm using it to blow those sorry ass prolifers out of the womb in my American Politics class.

I don't think we should ban anything. If children can get a hold of drugs and alchohal, have sex with each other, kill each other and themselves, do you think taking a book out of the library will stop them from looking at dirty pictures or watching horror movies? People always say being desensitized to violence and human suffering is a bad thing, but jaded cynical apathy is one of the greatest gifts this screwed up society can give someone. That way, when they go through traumatic experiences, they can just shrug and say "figures".

As for the rather vehement people offended by your use of bible verses and associating them to things like child abuse, that's what the religous right does every time they find someone they don't like. You never see them saying "the book of Job" teaches us... they cite chapter and verse, nothing else. why not go to their extreme, but fail to use the propagandist techniques they use to hide their blatant contextual rape of the bible's supposed authority?
