These Are America’s Most Haunted Cities

If watching scary movies doesn't freak you out enough, maybe it's time to visit an actually haunted city to get your spooky fix. With Halloween approaching, travel review site Yelp has created a new list ranking the creepiest and most haunted cities in the country.

To determine the rankings, the website combed through reviews of cities all across America that contained spooky words such as "ghost" "haunt" and "creepy." In an attempt to make it as accurate as possible, they omitted businesses specifically there to scare you, such as a haunted house.

So what city is the spookiest place in the country? Savannah, Georgia topped their list, which is not a surprise. The town is notoriously haunted thanks to its rich history as a battleground in both the Revolutionary War and the Civil War. It's also a city with a host of mysterious murders and ghost sightings throughout history.

Rounding out the top five most haunted cities are New Orleans, Louisiana, Fort Collins, Colorada, Santa Cruz, California, and Las Vegas, Nevada. Now that you have the list, you can brave the supernatural and make a visit, or if ghosts freak you out, you know which cities to avoid for your next vacation.
