So Many Colors
In Gansu, China there lies one of the most colorful and vibrant mountain ranges on Earth. It covers an area of 124 square miles and became a quasi-national geopark in 2012. Known for its colorful rock formations, it has been voted by Chinese media outlets as one of the most beautiful locations in China. The colors and formations are the results of deposits of sandstone and other minerals over the course of 24 million years. The wind, rain, and time have sculpted the shapes with the varying colors and designs. Although it’s hard to believe something this beautiful exists, believe it!
