These ring-shaped treats first popped up at Vancouver’s Chinatown Night Market, and Instagrammers couldn’t get enough of them. Since then, the vendor opened a more permanent restaurant called Uma Sushi in Vancouver, Canada.

Most commonly, it’s eaten as a dessert and it’s garnished with sweet toppings like fudge sauce, marshmallows, or caramel. You can also get savory moffles that are topped with things like ham, cheese, or cod roe. Apparently, the moffle was invented by the Sanyei Company.
