Hugh Hefner Was Cruisin' On The Lovestream
The late Hugh Hefner clearly had a soft spot for Pamela Anderson; in 2001 he gave his former Playboy bunny a one-of-a-kind Airstream trailer, better known as the "Lovestream." The decor has a 1970s theme to it, complete with white shag carpeting, mirrors on the ceiling, a circular vibrating bed, stripper pole, disco ball, and of course, Playboy bunny seat cushions.
It was pimped out even further in 2006 on Season Three of Unique Whips, with satellite hook-up, Internet, and all the best gaming accessories, which was still cutting edge back then.
Matthew McConaughey's "The Cabin" Is Built For The Road
Actor Matthew McConaughey loves to be on the open road. After spending years driving across the country in a large tricked-out GMC van, he decided to upgrade to an Airstream, which he donned "The Canoe." This inspiration behind the name came after visiting a Squamish Nation reservation in Vancouver, Canada, where he was gifted a handcrafted oar by the natives.
The Canoe has a custom banquette that was designed specifically to ensure the six-foot-tall McConaughey would be able to eat in comfort. It has a satellite dish on the roof; a barbecue in the back, and book racks and ceiling netting to hold travel literature, journals, and scripts.
Brad Pitt's Mobile Mansion
A-lister Brad Pitt's amazing trailer is a whopping 48 feet long and bigger than most people's apartments. The mansion on wheels has a state-of-the-art kitchen with everything custom built, including a full-size fridge, dishwasher, and stove in order to optimize space.
Pitt's mobile palace also includes a 10-foot leather couch in the "living room," as well as a s a private master bedroom, complete with a queen-sized bed, high-end media center and master bathroom with a walk-in shower large enough for two people (there is another bathroom for everyone else to use). Vin Diesel had no problem dropping $1.1million on his custom-made 1100 square-foot trailer. The kitchen has granite countertops, and the "media lounge" has $70,000 worth of technology, including a 3D flat-screen TV, a private office space, and a play area for his children.
Diesel has become so attached to his trailer that when he was filming the latest Fast and the Furious film in Puerto Rico, he made sure his precious vehicle was shipped over for him to enjoy.
Ashton Kutcher's Mobile Estate
Ashton Kutcher's trailer is so big, that the proper term for it isn't "mobile home," but rather mobile estate. It measures 53 feet long and weighs a whopping 30 tons. The coolest thing about Kutcher's digs though is that with the push of a button (and the help of hydraulics) side sections and a second floor emerge from the main living space. Altogether, this ride features a spacious living room, kitchen with granite countertops, a conference space, two bathrooms and more than one 60-inch 3D plasma televisions.
Cleary concerned about security, Kutcher has a 360-degree video surveillance camera mounted, and if someone rings the doorbell, the TV and stereo system lower in volume and an image of the person appears on all the screens.
Simon Cowell Always Has A Doctor On Call
Simon Cowell's 1,200-square feet mobile estate has a pop-up second level, hardwood floors, and granite countertops throughout. The couch in the living room area can fit about 20 people, as they enjoy the 60-inch home theater. The $2 million trailer also has some one-of-a-kind features. The door to his bedroom is made of a material called Giga Glass, and with the press of a button, he can make the glass on the door go from clear to opaque.
His makeup area can transform into a 24-hour mobile doctor's office with $25,000 worth of equipment. The only other vehicle to have such features is an Air-Force 1!
Will Smith's $2 million, 55 foot-long trailer caused an uproar in NYC when it completely overtook a city block during the filming of Men in Black III—he was forced to move it to a private lot. The trailer, nicknamed "The Heat" has $30,000 worth of leather, and over $100,000 worth of technology, including 14 TVs and a movie room with a 100-inch screen.
There's a lighted makeup mirror with a TV behind it, and a private lounge and wardrobe area complete with sliding "Star Trek" doors. The $25,000 bathroom expands the full width of the trailer and has a steam shower with Giga Glass.
Fit For A Diva
Mariah Carey is known for being a diva, so it's no shock that her trailer is outrageously luxurious. Her two-story mega mobile home has a 15-foot custom couch facing a 65-inch television with surround sound. Past the roomy lounge there is a makeup station with an oversized mirror with a TV behind it.
The kitchen is larger than most apartments, with a hideaway fridge and a $4,000 water machine. The granite stairs leading to the second floor, which has a nightclub feel, boasts a 35-foot wraparound couch, two 60-inch televisions, and color-changing lights.
Gwen Stefani Keeps It Light and Airy
Gwen Stefani's trailer matches the star's unique and stylish taste, and is meant to resemble a high-end hotel room. The front area is meant for friends and family to hang. The main bedroom is in the back of the RV, complete with a Sleep Number bed, makeup area, and an extremely spacious shower.
Kelly Pickler's Mobile Shoe Heaven
When country star Kelly Pickler is traveling the country in her massive RV, she brings her entire shoe collection on the road with her. Kelly had a custom shoe closet installed in her mobile home, with rolling shelves that store her vast amount of high heels.
She also built a kennel for her dogs to ensure her they are just as comfortable as she is. Her bedroom comes complete with an area for hair and makeup, and in her top-of-the-line kitchen, she installed the ice machine from the restaurant she worked at before becoming a star.
Johnny Cash's Trailer Is An Oldie But A Goodie
Johnny Cash may have left this world, but his legend will live on forever. The RV you see was his home away from home. Looking at the inside you can see how frozen in time this RV is. Just look at baby blue couches and blinds.
There's a sweet simplicity to Cash's bus that is missing from more recent ones. Sure, Ashton Kutcher's RV is extravagant, but does he really need all that space? Cash was a simple man, and only carried with him what he needed on tour.
Willie Nelson Is As Country As It Gets
One look at Willie Nelson's tour bus and it's unmistakable who it belongs too. Nelson, for the most part, kept it simple, but made sure to include some Americana inspired artwork.
Of course, Willie Nelson is know for his songs as well as his love recreational activities. We don't know what the inside of his bus looks like, but considering how much time he spend son the road, we imagine it comes fully loaded with all the essentials.
Justin Bieber Rocks Out In Style
You didn't think we could write this list without including Justin Bieber, did you? Not only is he one of the biggest pop stars in the world, he's one of the biggest celebrities in the world. Period.
Take one step on his tour bus and you'll see just how Bieber gets the royal treatment. The traveling home includes several plasma televisions, leather covered furniture, and an ice cream station. And now we want ice cream.
Katy Perry Keeps It Cozy
Katy Perry is one of those artists who always seems to be busy doing something. Now engaged to Orlando Bloom, maybe she’ll be spending less time on the road and more time at home. Either way, her tour bus looks cozy enough!
Perry shared this pic of her eating cereal in the bed of her tour bus, just like she’d be doing at home. Although her tour bus looks pretty modern, she’s added some cozy touches like the floral throw pillows.
Whoopi Goldberg Gets A Private Chef
Whoopi Goldberg is a stand up legend who lives half her life on the road. To make sure she's not eating fast food for every meal of the day, Goldberg travels with a personal chef.
The chef knows how to cook all of Goldberg's favorite meals, ensuring late night stops at Taco Bell are kept to a minimum. Why get questionable ground meat, lettuce, and cheese when you have the real thing prepared fresh daily?
The Zac Brown Band Know How To Roll
The RV that belongs to the Zac Brown Band is one of the coolest. They’ve customized the interior to perfectly suit their style. This RV is not just a home away from home, but an entire experience in itself.
Named, “THE RIDE” the band’s RV features a rustic interior outfitted with wood, metal, and country style. Canned lighting makes every corner of the RV feel clean and well-lit, complete with things you’d only expect to find at home, like a full set of cooking knives, wood-framed art and musical instruments and recording equipment strategically mounted in a sitting area.
One Direction Digs Metallic And Red
When the group one Direction prepared to hit the road for their “Take Me Home” tour, they found a tour bus that met their personal style. Their bus is outfitted with shiny black counters, red and black leather wrap-around couch that seats the entire group, and shiny red cabinets in the kitchen area.
Out of the frame is a nice home entertainment center, because even when you’re on the road, you want to feel right at home.
Taylor Swift Needs Creative Space
While on tour, Taylor Swift is constantly working. When she’s not performing she’s doing interviews and writing more songs, prepping for her next album. Here Swift is pictured journaling and song writing between venues on the road.
At just 29-years-old, Swift has already completed five tours and recorded six albums. She’s one of the hardest working women in the entertainment industry, and needs to have a quiet, comfortable place to clear her head during her breaks between the action.
Timberland's Mobile Studio
Producer/artist Timberland's tour bus is a mobile recording studio with all the bells and whistles. The exterior has a custom paint job, and there are two massive generators. The co-pilot can enjoy all the amenities, with a television, headphone control and a guitar and mic input.
There is color-changing LED lighting throughout the bus, that resembles the inside of a nightclub. Four cameras are mounted on the exterior for security purposes. The studio is so well-equipped that you could record an eight member band, and the recording area is surprisingly soundproofed.
Are You Ready For Some Football
John Madden is best known these days as the man behind the biggest football video game game in the world. Before that, he made a name for himself as the winningest NFL head coach of all-time.
None of that explains the pat pattern her choice for his "Madden Cruiser." The RV, parked outside a stadium in the picture, is loud to say the least. Designed to look like it was hidden in the outback, its sticks out like a sore thumb in the concrete jungle.
Mobile Men's Club
Comedian Ron White designed his tour bus to look like a smoking lounge. There is tons of leather throughout; even the ceiling is covered in suede and the bedroom's huge bed has a leather headboard that opens up into storage space. There are numerous custom lighting fixtures in every room.
All the furniture is bolted to the floor to avoid any accidents, and the floor itself is covered in travertine. There is no kitchen; instead, there is just a state-of-the-art coffee maker and a specially designed space that is a scotch "closet" on one side, as well as a built-in cigar humidor on the other.
Justin Moore's Rustic Digs
Country singer and songwriter Justin Moore wanted his tour bus to be rustic with a classy touch. The spacious living room has a custom-made cowhide couch and recliner chairs, and a cowhide rug. The kitchen cabinetry is lined with crocodile skin and a beer tap.
The master bathroom is as big as any mansion's bathroom, with a luxurious, curved, tiled shower and a TV. The master suite has not one, but two 60-inch TVs and a sitting area to enjoy them (and of course the chair is costume made with cowhide).
Jake Owen's Bar On Wheels
Country singer Jake Owen customer designed every inch of his 52-foot coach. He didn't want the couch in the living room area to feel like a typical couch, but more like one you'd find in a home, and the best part is it transforms into a comfy bed. His dog Merl has a special spot near the couch, in a comfy doggie bed.
His kitchen has a modern yet old fashioned red fridge reminiscent of the 1950s. In order to prevent bottles from sliding around as they drive, he had custom light-up bottle holders built in. Not to mention there is a beer tap.
A Little Bit Country, A Little Bit Rock 'n' Roll
Fit for a rock star, country singer Lee Brice's tour bus is filled with some luxurious amenities. The granite, steel and stud decor ads an industrial touch to a country theme. The living area has lay-out recliner chairs, and doubles as a writing space; he has a guitar amp that hooks up to the sound system so the band could jam out right in there.
There are two spacious "condo" bunks, along with a few smaller sleeping spaces. Instead of taking up a lot of space with a giant fridge, he installed pull out drawers that function as a fridge. And the bedroom has enough drawers so Brice does't have to live out of his suitcase.
Rodney Atkins Pulls A Trailer With His Trailer
Since he tours 10 months out of the year, country star Rodney Atkins wanted to create the perfect home away from home. The front lounge of the 52-foot bus has a French country theme, with a guest bathroom. The fully-functioning kitchen has an extremely large granite countertop that would impress any five-star chef.
There is a special space for his parrots, who come on the road with him. The master suite has a TV and surround sound. His bus always pulls along another small trailer - and no, it isn't carrying merchandise or gear. Instead, it houses his motorcycle.
When Dolly Parton is touring, she prefers the comforts of her personalized tour bus over any hotel room. The kitchen, which has a full built-in fridge, is open and spacious, which is perfect for Parton because she loves to cook.
Her master bedroom is decked out in all pink, has its own bathroom, a section for her to read and pray, an area for her to do her makeup and hair, as well as a custom closet just for her beloved wigs. In case anyone is traveling with her, she has few bunk beds (of course decorated in pink) and a second shower.
Craig Morgan's Ultimate Man Cave
Craig Morgan has dubbed his mobile home as the "Ultimate Man Cave." With 13 men sharing the bus, that's probably the best style they could have chosen. There is a beer cooler next to the couches in the "living room," so that they don't have to travel far for a drink.
The kitchen has tiled floors, and there is a wine glass rack hanging over the sink. All of the kitchen cabinets are specifically labeled to help keep things organized, which could be difficult with so many guys digging through them throughout the day. What would normally be the second state room is actually Craig's own private room, while the rest of the guys have spacious bunks.
Big Kenny from the Grammy-nominated musical duo Big and Rich wanted to make his oasis on wheels feel like a wild pirate ship, so his entire tour bus has pirate decor throughout, with beautiful wood furniture. There are even cardboard cutouts of pirate characters hanging out in the lounge area, along with custom made artwork. He has a full on DJ rig set up in the lounge to keep the party going.
His bedroom has a queen-sized bed, plenty of closet and storage space, and a full bath. Stored beneath the bus is Kenny's segues, which he loves to ride through the various cities he visits.
Baby On Board
NASCAR star Casey Mears takes his family on the road with him, so he wanted his bus to have a homey feel. The fully-functioning kitchen has a hideaway stovetop and full-sized fridge. There's a large retractable dining area that can fit the whole family, and there's a baby bassinet in the living room.
The master bedroom has a king-sized bed, a monitor system, and over the bed is a his-and-her closet for storage. The master bath has a huge tiled shower, and a washer and dryer. Along with his bus, he takes another 53-foot trailer on the road which carries two race cars and a complete repair shop.
Iron Man Rides In Style
Robert Downey Jr. could live in his trailer if he wanted to, and with his busy Marvel schedule he just might. The lavish living space is equipped with a kitchenette and full size living room.
After a long day on set, there is no better way to relax for Downey Jr. then in his trailer with a drink in his hand. Heck, if he falls asleep, he can sleep in and extra hour before shooting begins because he's already on set.
Proof That Football Pays The Bills
When Jerry Jones and other Dallas Cowboys executives hit the road, they take all the luxuries of Texas life with them. The executive RV is stacked to the brim with incredible amenities and over the top features.
They can cook for themselves in the kitchenette, and then clean while admiring their granite countertops and zebra-wood paneling. Don't be fooled, though, it takes a long time to become the executive of an NFL team, and these powerful people have earned their right to luxury.
T.I. Doesn't Stay Hidden
Rapper and actor T.I. has earned the right to ride in ridiculous luxury. His bus is loud, and you know exactly when it pulls into town. And if you're lucky enough to be invited inside, you'll never want to leave.
On his bus, T.I. keeps a fully stocked bar and multiple 60-inch televisions. No need to fight over which game to watch when you can just watch them all! We bet he has all the best video game systems, too.
Even Authors Need Sweet Digs
James Rollins might not spend most of his life on the road, but as one of the most popular authors in the United States, he is required to go on book tours. And when he goes on these tours, he takes his office with him.
While on tour, Rollins makes sure he can continue working on his next masterpiece with a full computer set up. He also has a giant library on board so he can find inspiration whenever he needs to.
Gary Allan Loves Flashy Lights
American country music artist Gary Allan’s RV looks like it was pulled from Las Vegas. Big screen TVs, pristine leather couches and moody lighting make up the vibe. But let’s not forget about the fully stocked bar!
Allan has released nine albums and has toured quite a bit performing them. It makes sense that he’d want to have a nice place to retire to while on the road. His RV is quite different than Taylor Swift’s,however, as his isn’t designed to get any work done!
John Rich Lives The Lounge Life
John Rich has been making country music for a long time. Starting his career in 1992 with Lonestar, he formed Big and Rich in 1998. You've already seen how Big lives on the road, and now it's time to show your Rich.
This tour bus is a full on lounge, ready to handle any party John Rich can throw on it. It's also perfect if he just needs to relax after a long concert followed by a few too many beers.
Amy Grant's Bus Is Simple And Elegant
Still a young 58-years-old, Amy Grant is a country music legend who has adapted to life on the road. Beginning as a Christian country star, Grant achieved crossover pop success and refused to let the lifestyle get to her head.
Grant keeps her bus simple yet elegant. The wood panels keep everything looking modern while the recessed lighting keeps everything fresh. If we had a bus like that we would never go home again. We would never need to.
Lauren Alaina Loves Pillows
Lauren Alaina is most famous for being the runner up on the 11th season of American Idol. She might not have one, but the exposure earned her a record contract anyways, and along with that contract came her own bus.
With that bus came pillows. Lots of pillows. It turns out, Lauren Alaina might be addicted to decorative pillows, and there is no cure. She will just keep adding and adding more pillows until her bus becomes a pillow pool full of comfort.
Hunter Hayes Is Ready To Play Music At All Times
American country music artist Hunter Hayes hails from Louisiana, but there’s plenty of days out of the year that he’s not at home. Hayes came into the country music scene in a big way. He made so much noise that he was named the Leader of Country Music’s Youth Revolution.
He’s headlined six tours since he kicked off his career, and has been all over the U.S. and the U.K. His touring RV is set-up so that he can pick up a guitar and play at any moment. And while it’s comfortable, it’s definitely not the party-focused rig that we’ve seen other stars own.
Kix Brooks Likes His Space
Although they hit they record and perform together on stage, it appears that Kix Brooks and Ronnie Dunn prefer to have a bit of space from each other while on the road. It makes sense that the country music duo would prefer to have their owns space to stretch out.
Brooks’ RV features a lot of leather, clean surfaces, and TVs. And don’t forget cupholders- you don’t want your beer tipping when the driver hits a pothole. If you slide out the table, there’s a hidden beer cooler!
