Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story

Fans of the hit Netflix period show Bridgerton will have something to look forward to while waiting for the anticipated third season. Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story focuses on the story of Queen Charlotte and her marriage to King George III.

You (season four)

The acclaimed Netflix series You is coming back for a fourth season. The series, starring Penn Badgely, is about a stalker with a tendency towards obsession that results in violence.

He frequently uses new identities to escape his past, with season four finding him in the role of a professor. Part one will come out on February 10, with part two following on March 10.

Loki (season 2)

The Disney+ series Loki is coming back for a second season. The series, about the ramifications the god of mischief faces while transcending time and space and the variants of himself he faces while imprisoned for his time-bending, is set to be even wilder than its first season.

While there is no set date, the new series is scheduled for release in mid-2023.

The Witcher (season three)

Season three of the Netflix fantasy series will premiere summer of 2023. The series will focus on the dangerous adventures that Geralt, Ciri, and Yennefer take as they confront enemies and treachery.

The third season also marks the final appearance of Henry Cavill in the role of the witcher himself, Geralt of Rivia. He will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth for season four.

The Last of Us

The popular video game The Last of Us is getting the TV treatment, as many other video game series have experienced.

The series, starring Pedro Pascal of The Mandalorian fame and Bella Ramsey, known for her role as Lyanna Marmont in Game of Thrones, is about a smuggler (Pascal) tasked with taking a girl (Ramsey) out of the country. Watch the series on January 15, 2023.

Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches

For fans of Anne Rice or horror, AMC is coming out with another Anne Rice adaptation after their Interview with the Vampire series.

This time they’re focusing on her Mayfair witches series, with Alexandra Daddario in the lead role of Rowan Fielding, a neurosurgeon who discovers she’s related to a dynasty of powerful witches.

Your Honor (season 2)

The Netflix drama series Your Honor is returning for its second and final season.

The show stars Bryan Cranston as Michael Desiato, a New Orleans judge who deals with the aftermath of his son accidentally murdering the son of a mafia boss in a hit-and-run. Watch the conclusion on January 15, 2023.

The Mandalorian (season 3)

The Mandalorian is back for season three, with Pedro Pascal donning the famous Mandalorian suit and helmet.

Not Dead Yet

For fans of Jane the Virgin, you might be excited to know that Gina Rodriguez is back as the main character in the new ABC series Not Dead Yet.

Rodriguez plays the role of Nell Stevens, a self-described “disaster” who restarts her life following a break-up by re-entering the career she abandoned ten years prior by writing obituaries when she starts receiving advice from an unlikely source. Catch the series premiere on February 8, 2023.

Accused

Fox is coming out with a new show called Accused, where each episode takes place in a courtroom, with details slowly being revealed through the defendant’s perspective throughout the episode.

The Company You Keep

Starring Milo Ventimiglia, The Company You Keep is a series about a con man who ends up having a love affair with a CIA agent, played by Catherine Haena Kim, and the clash between their careers.

Servant (season 4)

Harry Potter fans may have instantly noticed one of the actors in the Apple TV series Servant. Rupert Grint stars in the series as Julian Pearce.

Lockwood & Co. is an upcoming Netflix detective thriller about teenage ghost hunters. They embark on nightly battles with ghosts and other supernatural creatures under the ghost-hunting start-up Lockwood & Co.

The Lying Life of Adults

The Lying Life of Adults is an Italian language drama premiering on Netflix, based on the novel by Elena Ferrante.

Set in Naples in the early 1990s, the story follows twelve-year-old Giovanna Trada, played by actress Giordana Marengo, and her quest to unravel the mystery of her family’s fallout. The entire series will be available on Netflix on January 4, 2023.

Lopez vs. Lopez (season 1, part 2)

George Lopez returns to TV in a new show featuring himself and his daughter, Maya Lopez, as a fictional story that draws on their real-life experiences, including their dysfunctional relationship after Lopez’s divorce and the eventual reconciliation between an estranged father and daughter.

Sex Education (season 4)

Netflix’s Sex Education is making a season four comeback, seeing characters in an entirely new setting after their school, Moordale, shut down. The characters now attend Cavendish Sixth Form College, with some characters leaving and new characters coming in.

A Man in Full

Based on the novel of the same name by Tom Wolfe, A Man in Full is an upcoming Netflix limited series about Charlie Croker, a charismatic and prideful real estate mogul who falls into bankruptcy and attempts to save his empire from disgrace.

Avatar: The Last Airbender

The well-known series Avatar: The Last Airbender is returning to television, this time as a live-action series. The series follows the storyline of the original, with expected enhancements.

The show will also appeal to the original audience, who have grown up since the series ended and will likely appreciate the beauty of the new live-action. Principal photography wrapped up in June 2022, making a 2023 release likely.

Agatha: Coven of Chaos

Disney+ is releasing another Marvel series based on Wanda Maximoff’s teacher Agatha Harkness titled Agatha: Coven of Chaos. The series will have Kathryn Hahn reprising her role as the titular character from the WandaVision series. President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, announced at the 2022 San Diego Comic-Con that the series would premiere sometime in winter 2023.

Love and Death

Elizabeth Olsen will star as axe-wielding murderer Candy Montgomery in Love and Death, an HBO Max miniseries based on the real-life story of Candy Montgomery.

The series follows the events that led to Montgomery’s murder of friend Betty Gore in Wylie, Texas, in the 80s and the results of her trial. HBO Max is planning on releasing the series in 2023.

Kaos

Kaos is a dark comedy based on Greek mythology, exploring themes of politics, the role of gender, and power in the underworld. It stars Jeff Goldblum as Zeus, who thinks the world is ending because he has a wrinkle.

My Life with the Walter Boys

My Life with the Walter Boys is an upcoming series based on the 2014 novel of the same name by Ali Novak.

Following the adventures of the fugitive Straw Hat Pirates, the live-action promises to follow much of the same storyline, with possible changes to accommodate the whackier aspects of the anime so that they still work in the live-action.

The Night Agent

Netflix has adapted another novel into a series. This time it’s Matthew Quirk’s novel of the same name. It follows Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso) as a low-ranking FBI agent.

He spends his days working in the basement of the White House until he receives a call that sends him on a collision course with a dangerous plot leading straight to the oval office. Filming wrapped up in July, so expect a possible premiere in 2023.

The Three-Body Problem

Adapted from Chinese author Liu Cixin’s Remembrance of Earth’s Past trilogy, The Three-Body Problem is an ambitious sci-fi series from Netflix expected to premiere in 2023.

The trilogy tells the story of humankind’s encounter with alien life and the conflict that worsens throughout the trilogy, including humans who welcome an alien invasion and those who want something worse. The series will have stars Benedict Wong from the Marvel universe and John Bradley from Game of Thrones.

FUBAR

Arnold Schwarzenegger will be making his TV debut in FUBAR, a spy action series set to premiere on Netflix. The show follows Luke, played by Schwarzenegger, and his daughter Emma (Monica Barbaro), who realize they’ve been living secret lives as CIA operatives without the other knowing.

Having just wrapped up filming in Toronto in September, the show will have a 2023 release date.

Ahsoka

Ahsoka is an upcoming series set in the Star Wars universe and a spin-off of the hit Disney+ series The Mandalorian. The series will follow Ahsoka Tano, played by Rosario Dawson, further exploring the character and her time as an apprentice to Anakin Skywalker.

The Idol

Fans of singer The Weeknd will soon be able to watch him on TV in the upcoming HBO series The Idol. The singer, who created and produced the series, will star as a self-help guru and cult leader Tedros, who develops a relationship with Jocelyn, a pop star who Lily-Rose Depp will play.

Ironheart

Iron Heart is the 11th television series set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and follows one of the newer Marvel superheroes, Riri Williams/Ironheart, played by Dominique Thorne. The character, played by Thorne, also makes an appearance in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.
