90 Day Fiancé’ Couples That Were Meant To Last
The TLC reality show 90 Day Fiancé is a chaotic mix of love and heartbreak. Meeting either online, during a sporadic trip, or something else, two people from different parts of the world fall in love, apply for a visa, and have exactly 90 days to get hitched.
What could go wrong? Or did everything go right? It’s time to find out. Keep scrolling to learn where some fan-favorite couples wound up after their time on the reality show.
Then: Nicole Nafziger And Azan Tefou
Nicole Nafziger and Azan Tefou first met through a dating application. It didn’t take long for fans to realize the two were beyond different and not compatible. Throughout seasons four and five of 90 Day Fiancé, viewers watched as the two fought over everything from religious differences to public displays of affection and lifestyles.
Apparently, Azan wasn’t prepared for the eccentric American girl being all over him public. Either way, they couldn’t really come to an agreement.
Now: Nicole Nafziger And Azan Tefou
After moving from America to Azan’s native Morrocco, it didn’t take long for the sparks to start sizzling out for Nicole. She called their marriage off not once, but twice! Moving back to America, fans were left reeling, wondering what was going to happen in the couple’s future.
Well, as it turns out, nothing spectacular. The Floridian is back in the States and has since deleted the “Engaged to H” part of her Instagram biography.
Then: Fernanda Flores And Jonathan Rivera
Fans might remember Fernanda Flores and Jonathan Rivera’s season six relationship as one of the most controversial. At an alleged 19-years-old, Fernanda left her native Mexico when Jonathan appeared before her with a ring, asking her to marry him and relocate to America.
All of this happened within three months! It took one night in a Mexican nightclub while the North Carolina native was visiting the country on vacation. By May 2018, they were married.
Now: Fernanda Flores And Jonathan Rivera
After saying “I do,” Fernanda Flores soon realized her quick romance with Jonathan Rivera wasn’t all it was chalked up to be. By January 2019, the two announced their separation. And by March 2020, they were legally divorced.
Now, Jonathan is looking forward to the next chapter of his life with his new fiance, Janelle Miller. Fernanda, on the other hand, is living it up in America, dating other reality stars, such as the Bachelorette‘s Clay Harbor, and becoming an Instagram influencer.
Then: Kalani Faagata And Asuelu Pulaa
After pseudo-stalking Kalani Faagata around the resort he worked at in Samoa, Asuelu Pulaa finally got the courage to ask the California native on a date. It resulted in Kalani visiting the country a few more times, eventually resulting in the birth of their first son, Kennedy.
Fans then watched as the reality stars got engaged, married, and had more than one financial fight with Asuelu’s mother, Lesina, and his sister, Tammy. While they were in love, neither of their families liked the union.
Now: Kalani Faagata And Asuelu Pulaa
After financial issues, Kalani Faagata and Asuelu Pulaa finally seem to have their money problems under control. After welcoming their second son into the family, both 90 Day Fiancé alums have seemed to find jobs they enjoy.
Kalani has found work as a dancer for a Polynesian entertainment company while Asuelu utilizes his dance skills elsewhere. Using the social media platform TikTok, Asuelu shows off his native Samoan dance skills to upload entertaining videos.
Then: Tania Maduro And Syngin Colchester
Tania Maduro met South African Syngin Colchester while she was waiting on another date! The two hit it off, resulting in Tania extending her trip an entire two months! Eventually, fans might remember Tania asking Syngin to become her “90 Day Fiancé.”
He accepted, moving to America on a K1 visa. But it wasn’t smooth sailing for the couple. Syngin was wildly homesick, and Tania ghosted more than one of his phone calls.
Now: Tania Maduro And Syngin Colchester
Eventually, the two were able to work through their problems, getting married with tattoos as their rings. Now, Syngin is working as a waiter and going through the process to get his green card.
Tania is helping him with the process while taking care of their “green babies” and vegetable garden. The two are also in the works to appear on a 90 Day spin-off series, 90 Day Diaries. The new series is going to do a deep-dive into their lives.
Then: Brett Otto And Daya De Arce
Like many couples on 90 Day Fiancé, Brett Otto first met Daya De Arce online when he signed up for an international dating website. When he met the Filipino beauty in real life, it didn’t take much for the Washington native to fall for her.
But fans might remember it wasn’t all smooth sailing. Brett’s family, specifically his mother, disapproved of their relationship. She even went as far as calling Daya a gold digger (harsh, future mother-in-law).
Now: Brett Otto And Daya De Arce
Unlike many of the reality show’s alumni, Brett Otto and Daya De Arce have kept very much to themselves after their stint on TLC’s 90 Day Fiancé. That being said, they have posted many pictures on social media, showing off their adorable baby girl, Isabella, who they had two years after saying, “I do.”
Now, Brett is focusing on his blog, The K1 Experience – Our Family, Our Life, Our Journey, while Daya is a stay-at-home mom.
Then: Russ And Paola Mayfield
One of the original 90 Day Fiancé couples, Russ and Paola appeared on the first season of the reality show. Meeting in Colombia while Russ was there for a business trip, it didn’t take long for him to pop the question, obtain a K1 visa, and bring Paola to his home state of Oklahoma.
Fans might not remember, but when they first got there, Paola was living with Russ’ parents! Eventually, they got married and she moved out.
Now: Russ And Paola Mayfield
After their stint on TLC, Russ and Paola Mayfield decided it was time for a change of scenery. They left Oklahoma and moved to the sunny coast of Miami, Florida, in hopes of pursuing a modeling and personal training career.
Currently, she owns her own training company, Super Pao Fitness, and is a popular Instagram influencer. Aside from making strides in her professional life, Paola and Russ welcomed their first child, a son named Axel, into the family back in 2019!
Then: David and Annie Toborowsky
David Toborowsky met Annie while vacationing in Thailand, falling for her at a karaoke bar when she sang “Like an Angel.” Ten days later and he popped the question. Annie didn’t hesitate, saying yes.
Unfortunately, it wasn’t that easy for the new couple. David was financially unstable after his previous divorce. Fans were quick to call Annie a “sugar baby” since her family was making David pay a hefty sum for her hand.
Now: David And Annie Toborowsky
Fast forward a few years, and David’s been able to pay Annie’s family around $25,000. Aside from the weird payment, though, the married couple is doing very well living in the United States.
While David found work teaching online and working for a national marketing company, Annie’s started her own Thai cooking and catering business. They also have a YouTube channel called Spice It Up With David and Annie, where they teach people how to prepare authentic Thai dishes.
Then: Kyle And Noon Huck
90 Day Fiancé fans probably remember the season seven couple Kyle and Noon. They wound up being favorites, after all! Meeting online while researching a trip to Thailand, Kyle and Noon met in real life after he traveled to the country.
The two quickly got engaged, allowing Noon to live in New Orleans with Kyle on a 90-day K1 visa. Unlike a lot of other couples on the show, Kyle and Noon had a very healthy relationship!
Now: Kyle And Noon Huck
Years after their time on the TLC show, Kyle and Noon are still happily married. Now living in Portland, Oregon, Noon works at an upscale cat hotel, promoting the company and their various partnerships via social media.
As for Kyle, he’s constantly thinking about the high rent prices of Portland since the happy couple is rumored to be thinking about expanding their family and having a child! For right now, they’re happy with their pet cat.
Then: Robert And Anny Spring
Appearing in season seven, Robert Spring met Anny online. Then, wanting to meet in person, Robert booked a cruise that stopped in her native country of the Dominican Republic for a solid day.
They met, and eight hours later Robert proposed to Anny. Unfortunately for Anny, it didn’t take long for fans to think she was only in the relationship for money and an American visa. It didn’t help that Robert had doubts literally hours before the ceremony!
Now: Robert And Anny Spring
Eventually, Robert and Anny said their “I do’s” getting married even though Robert was questioning the decision. Now, they’re living in Florida and have welcomed their second child into the family. According to Anny’s Instagram page, many fans of the couple are curious as to why they haven’t shown baby Aaliyah’s face in any pictures.
Apparently, mom and dad want to respect their child’s privacy, much to the 90 Day Fiancé fanbase’s dismay.
Then: Alan And Kirlyam Cox
Alan Cox first met Kirlyam when he was a teenager, and she was 11-years-old, while he was on a Mormon mission trip in her native Brazil. Fast forward a few years, and the two reconnected as adults at a mutual friend’s wedding.
Fans probably remember the two arguing about their lifestyle differences. But they quickly became fan favorites, as Alan and Kirlyam began to understand each other’s diverse backgrounds a bit better.
Now: Alan And Kirlyam Cox
Now, Alan and Kirlyam Cox are happily married and have an adorable son, Liam. While Alan works for Breen Engineering as a project lead and photo simulation specialist, Kirlyam is a stay-at-home mom with a massive social media presence.
Unfortunately, in 2020, Kirlyam was stuck in Brazil with restricted travel while Alan was in San Diego, California. Their long-distance relationship was captured on 90 Day Fiancé: Self-Quarantined. On a happier note, they are expecting their second child in 2021!
Then: Emily And Sasha Larina
After meeting at a gym in Russia, Emily fell for Sasha Larina hard. But, as fans might remember, their relationship during the seventh season of 90 Day Fiancé wasn’t exactly drama-free.
While many believed Sasha was in the relationship for the sole purpose of obtaining a K1 visa, others thought he was waiting for their son to be born before leaving Emily in the dust. The comments about Emily’s post-baby body were also very off-putting for a lot of fans. And rightfully so!
Now: Emily And Sasha Larina
It might come as a surprise, but Emily and Sasha are still together, happily married and living in Oregon. According to Emily’s Instagram and other social media, she and Sasha have been working together during the hectic 2020 year.
Recently, they’ve adopted a bulldog puppy named Mylo Maximus, expanding their tiny family. As for what’s next for the couple, it looks like their only plans are to raise their son, David, in the United States.
Then: Justin And Evelyn Halas
Justin and Evelyn Halas met while waiting in line at a hot dog stand at the 2013 World Games in Colombia. After spending one week together, they were in love and getting cast in season two of 90 Day Fiancé.
Fans might remember their relationship getting off to a rocky start since Justin decided to hide the fact that he was dating a woman from Ecuador and they just so happen to be on a reality TV show together. Whoops.
Now: Justin And Evelyn Halas
Even after the little white lie, Justin and Evelyn are what’s called a “success story.” Married with a young son, the couple couldn’t be more thrilled with the direction life has taken them.
Aside from being loving parents, Evelyn has been very active on social media, posting pictures of their life together when she’s not busy taking care of “taquito,” aka her son, Nathan. Justin, on the other hand, has been fairly silent since the cameras stopped rolling.
Then: Loren And Alexei Brovarnik
Loren met Alexei while on a birthright trip to Israel. It didn’t take long for them to fall for one another, resulting in Loren moving to Florida to be with Alexei. It was clear to fans that these two were in it for the long-haul.
And while these two are no strangers to the rest of the 90 Day Fiancé franchise, that’s not all they’ve been doing since being original cast members.
Now: Loren And Alexei Brovarnik
Married with a baby boy, Shai, Alexei Brovarnik has since become a United States citizen! The happy couple has also appeared on spin-off shows, such as 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? and 90 Day Fiancé: Pillow.
But the two don’t spend all of their time in front of the camera. Loren has been working as an administrator while Alexei has picked up the career, as a medic, he left in Israel.
Then: Molly Hopkins And Luis Mendez
Georgia native Molly Hopkins was on vacation in the Dominican Republic when she met Luis Mendez, a bartender. Fans believed the couple was doomed from the start, as they decided to get engaged a short two months after their initial meeting.
Things got even stranger when the two opted to get legally married in a secret ceremony. Needless to say, Molly and Luis didn’t wind up as one of the reality show’s “success stories.”
Now: Molly Hopkins And Luis Mendez
In fact, Molly Hopkins wound up divorcing Luis Mendez five months after the two said, “I do.” But it didn’t take long for Luis to move on. A few short months after the divorce was finalized, he was wed to yet another American.
Molly has moved on in other ways, opting to focus on her successful lingerie business, Livi Rae Lingerie, and has even modeled for PLUS Model Magazine while showcasing her weight-loss journey on her social media platforms.
Then: Josh And Aleksandra Strobel
In season three of 90 Day Fiancé, fans were introduced to Josh And Aleksandra, two of the younger people to appear on the show. The Idaho and Russia natives met while they were both in the Czech Republic.
Things quickly went from friendship to something more when Aleksandra converted from her party-girl lifestyle to Mormonism with the help of Josh. After a year, Josh proposed and brought Aleksandra to the States on a K1 visa.
Now: Josh And Aleksandra Strobel
Josh And Aleksandra Strobel became husband and wife in 2015 and are very happy with one another. But a lot changed after the cameras stopped rolling. Not only do they have two children, but the couple moved to Australia.
The move was so Josh could study medicine at the University of Queensland. After he graduated, they moved to Idaho, where Aleksandra graduated from Brigham Young University with a bachelor’s degree in public health!
Then: Paul Staehle And Karine Martins
After meeting online, it didn’t take long for Paul Staehle to hop on a plane to Brazil to meet Karine Martins. Fans watched as their relationship turned into love, drama, love, and a bit more drama as the two finally wound up getting engaged and married.
But unlike a lot of their co-stars, their happily ever after didn’t exactly go as planned, with Karine upset about their move to Kentucky and more than one divorce threat.
Now: Paul Staehle And Karine Martins
Paul Staehle and Karine Martins didn’t leave their reality TV days behind them when 90 Day Fiancé came to a wrap. Afterward, their love story was showcased on numerous spin-offs, including 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After?.
Long story short, they’re not. With more than one issue between them, including bad finances, fighting, and Karine saying Paul’s a bad father and husband, the two are most likely on the path to yet another divorce threat. Maybe they’ll go through with it this time.
