You Can Now Take An Uber Helicopter In NYC

New York City traffic is insane. Getting to and from the airport can be one of the most stressful parts about visiting the city. However, traffic can now be a thing of the past as Uber's helicopter service is now available to all customers.

Uber Copter launched in July but was only available for Platinum and Diamond members. Now, it's available for everyone - as long as you have the money to spend. According to Bloomberg, it will cost you up to $225 for a one-way trip. Just like regular cars, the price of the Copter will depend on how high in demand and busy it is.

"The focus in the near term is to open this up to all riders, to demonstrate this vision of seamless connection between cars and helicopters," Uber Elevate's Eric Allison told Bloomberg.

Including the pilot, the helicopters can fit up to eight people. It can get you from downtown Manhattan to JFK Airport in under 10 minutes. Uber will provide a car to pick you up and take you to the lift-off location. Once the helicopter drops you off, Uber will also provide a car to take you to your terminal. It's all included with just one request on the app.

The company is looking to launch helicopters in other major cities as well, including L.A. and Melbourne. Looks like car commuting will soon be a thing of the past!
