Andre Royo Said He Got A ‘Street Oscar’ On The Set Of The Wire

The first season on HBO’s The Wire centered around the drug trade in Baltimore. Actor Andre Royo played drug addict Bubbles, and was so convincing that someone came up and handed him a package of heroin, then said he looked like he needed a fix.

To this day, Royo says that was his first “street Oscar.”
