Spielberg Pranked Lucas With The Shark From Jaws

While Jaws set a precedent for having a fear of the water, Lucas probably had a real fear of sharks after the prank Spielberg pulled on him. The sharks from the movie had a few technical issues before they even started filming the movie, so naturally, they used that to their advantage.

Lucas came by the set one day, and when he stuck his head inside the mouth of the shark, Spielberg closed its jaws on him. Unfortunately for Lucas, the controls jammed and Lucas was stuck inside until they could pry the mouth open.
