George Lucas And Steven Spielberg Are Actually The Worst Best Friends
A Love For Cars Inspired Lucas To Be A Racer

As a teenager, Lucas dreamed of becoming a race car driver until he got into a near-fatal car crash, but the love for cars didn’t stop him from featuring them in American Graffiti. Lucas would turn focus to filmmaking then enrolled at Modesto Junior College before transferring to USC.
His roommate in college was Grease director Randal Keisler. Along with that, his classmates included Apocalypse Now screenwriter John Milius, game designer Hal Barwood, and film editor Walter Murch. Together, they became well-known on campus as ‘The Dirty Dozen.’
