George Lucas And Steven Spielberg Are Actually The Worst Best Friends

Many Of Spielberg’s Films Are About His Parents Divorce

Arnold and Leah Spielberg had a messy divorce after Leah had an affair with Arnold’s best friend. Steven had some anger fueled from the split, and it was shown in films like Close Encounters, Indiana Jones and the Last Crusader, and Catch Me If You Can.

Spielberg’s experience of loss was so intense that E.T. wasn’t originally going to be an alien. Instead, it was going to be the story about the life of a lonely, heartbroken kid. Saving Private Ryan, which wasdedicated to his father who served, would be the film that helped Spielberg get over the divorce.

Unfortunately, Lucas got a divorce too. However, that led to a breakthrough thanks to Steve Jobs.
