Why bother creating your own weapon when you can just steal the weapons of other animals? The blanket octopus is a lot of things, but they’re not boring. The unique octopus doesn’t really have any of their own unique attacking features. They have a creepy membrane that connects their tentacles, but that’s about it. What they do have is ingenuity.

When the blanket octopus wants to fight, they’ll go break off a limb of the incredibly dangerous Man O’ War jellyfish. These jellyfish are venomous, but the blanket octopus has built up an immunity to the venom. They octopus uses the jellyfish limb against predators and to attack for food.
