Margays Can Fake A Baby Monkey Cry

The margay jungle cat is a tricky one. In 2010, scientists witnessed a pack of margays hunting monkeys in a Brazi jungle. The margay would fake the cry of a helpless, baby monkey which put the full-grown monkeys into a panic. The monkeys enter into in an unguarded position, and the other margays can attack.

It’s basically mother nature’s version of when your ex texts you saying “Hey I think you left a bobby pin at my house if you want to come grab it.” It’s a pathetic but highly effective way of luring you into an unguarded position to try to get back together. Don’t fall for it like the monkeys
