How can something so adorable, cause so much pain? The slow loris is by far the cutest animal on the list but it’s one of the deadliest. Don’t be deceived by its big brown eyes because the slow loris is the only primate in the world that is venomous.

The underarm of the slow loris produces a toxin. The animal then licks it’s underarm, and the poison becomes “activated” when mixed with saliva. With the toxin activated, their bite is now deadly to predators. This toxic saliva is also activated when cleaning their young, so the offspring has a protective coat against predators.
