According to the Facebook group "Storm Area 51, They Can't Stop All Of Us," over 200,000 conspiracy theorists and adrenaline junkies have plans to raid the top-secret Air Force base on September 20, 2019. The supposed goal is to find and rescue the aliens assumed to be held captive underground by overwhelming the United States military with sheer numbers.

Area 51 is a top-secret Air Force base that was first mentioned in a CIA document during the Vietnam War. Everything that goes on there is considered to be Top Secret/Compartmented Information by the United States government, making it the source of countless conspiracy theories, mostly regarding UFOs and extra-terrestrials.

Located in the Nevada desert 83 miles north-northwest of Las Vegas, the base is rumored to be heavily guarded and armed to keep the public entirely in the dark about the operations occurring there.

While we may not know what exactly is going on inside the base, a lot of general information has become common knowledge. The base covers a total of 2.9 million acres with 5,000 miles of restricted airspace. Technically part of the Nevada Test and Training Range, it is the largest combined air and ground space used for peacetime military operations.

It is also known that Area 51 has been the test site for numerous nuclear weapons tests as well as stealth and other forms of aircraft. Conspiracy theorists believe that many of the aircraft coming out of Area 51 are reverse-engineered UFOs, such as the aircraft that crash landed in Roswell, New Mexico.

Well, apparently, over 200,000 people want the truth about Area 51 and are willing to risk it all to get their answers. While the guards at the base may not start shooting at anyone who's trespassing and will likely opt to give out tickets, they have the clearance to do so. Be safe out there, you vigilantes!
