During the Joplin, Missouri, tornado, a Pizza Hut manager saved a bunch of people by guiding them into the restaurant’s walk-in freezer.

He wrapped the bungee cord holding the freezer closed around his arm to keep it shut. Unfortunately, the door slipped. Winds sent the door and the Pizza Hut manager, Christopher Lucas, flying into the air. He didn’t survive the tornado, but he saved a lot of lives that day.
