The Bajau population in South East Asia have genetically adapted to become better swimmers. Their spleen is 50% larger than the average human, which allows them to store more red blood cells, which hold oxygen. This means their body can last longer under water without taking a breath.

They can dive as deep as 200 ft deep for up to 13 minutes.
