J-Lo didn’t need a lot of help becoming a pop superstar, but her single “Let’s Get Loud” from 2001 was the perfect mix of Latin flair and American pop.

Emilio Estevez Jr. wrote the song for his wife, Gloria Estevez. Gloria wanted to record the song, but it didn’t fit into her album. J-Lo swooped in, and the song became a #1 hit.
