I’m not sure how someone went from writing a song for Celine Dion to giving it to Aerosmith, but hey, it worked. “I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing” was written for the movie Armageddon, but it didn’t have anyone slated to sing it.
Songwriter Diane Warren said she wrote it with a power ballad singer in mind like Celine Dion or Barbra Streisand. Instead, Aerosmith heard the track and wanted to pick it up.
The body-positive song coming up was offered to a lot of artists, but only one woman was brave enough to record it and deal with all the haters.
