In 1993, David Koresh and the rest of the Branch Davidians made headlines during the infamous Waco siege.

First, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives tried to raid the Branch Davidians headquarters after allegations of child abuse. They were met with bullets which resulted in 10 dead. The FBI then sieged the building which lasted 51 days and ended in the compound getting destroyed by fire. Koresh and 71 others were killed. The fire was started by the Davidians from inside.
